Medusa has long been associated with transformation and feminine power, but I wanted to give that symbolism a modern meaning. Rather than focusing on the traditional story of Medusa, Modern Medusa represents evolution—moving through change, rediscovering your strength, and becoming something new while still honoring where you came from. The transformation from snakes into curls brings that evolution into the world of hair, where change can become a form of self-expression and rediscovery. After nearly two decades in the hair industry, I created Modern Medusa as a space where I could bring my experience, creativity, and passion together in a more personal way. I specialize in natural texture and curls, with a growing focus on hair and scalp health, fine and thinning hair, hair loss, and extensions. Hair is personal, and I want my studio to be a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can openly share your hair struggles, ask questions, and better understand your hair. With a private, one-on-one setting, each appointment is focused entirely on you, your hair, and your individual goals. Cancellation & Late Policy Your appointments are very important to me, and that time is set aside specifically for you. I understand that schedule changes and emergencies happen; however, I respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled start time will result in a fee equal to 50% of the reserved service amount. No-Shows: Failing to show up without any notice will be charged 100% of the service amount. Late Arrivals: I offer a 15-minute grace period. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or reschedule your appointment, which will be treated as a late cancellation and subject to the 50% fee. One-Time Exception: I value our relationship and understand that true emergencies happen. Every client is permitted one automatic waiver per calendar year for late cancellations due to sudden illness or emergency. Thank you for understanding and supporting my business!
